Step-by-step Vocabulary Building

Key Words with Robin is a 30-title series that helps children gradually build their vocabulary. It is divided into three levels – Easy Start, Beginner and Elementary – with ten titles in each level. Carefully chosen key words appropriate to each level from a 300 key word list (high frequency words) are introduced and repeated throughout Book A so that children will be familiar with those words. The language activities at the end of the book will help children consolidate what they have learned. Book B covers all the key words in Book A, but in a different context. This helps children understand the meanings of the words better and build their confidence as they read on. Phonics will also be introduced throughout Book B, and the phonics activities at the end of the book let children practise and reinforce what they have learned.
